Welcome to Reception class!
Meet the Teacher: Chloe Flanagan
With a BEd in Primary Education and years teaching through Early Years and Key Stage 1, Chloe has always been passionate about being a teacher.
“As Teachers, we can provide a safe and nurturing environment for children and help them grow. I love how every day is different and the children never fail to bring joy and laughter into the classroom – who wouldn’t want to be a part of that?”

At Abbey Farm ET we enjoy working with our children, families and the local community to give the children many exciting learning opportunities throughout their year in Reception.
In Reception we learn through play and exploration, we enjoy independent learning time (discovery time) both inside and outside. We have carpet sessions for Phonics, Maths and English to support and build on our learning.
To see examples of learning reception class children have done at our other schools, please have a look at our curriculum overview and timetable by clicking on the links below.
We share lots of our learning via Tapestry (tbc) and encourage parents to contribute to their child’s learning journal too. This means that children can share their learning with their teachers and friends!
